Class & Workshop Policies

Payment / Fees: Payment is required to confirm a space in any of our classes.

You may purchase a class directly from our website, in person during our shop hours Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm or over the phone during the same times at 702-522-9551.  Your space in a class is not confirmed until payment is received.  Class fees are subject to change without notice.  Please call Becca or Abby at 702-522-9551 if you have any questions. 

Class Size / Sign Up Deadlines: Due to social distancing regulations, class sizes are limited, so be sure to sign up early as all classes have a sign up deadline.  Unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate last minute drop ins. We also require all class attendees to wear a mask. 

Machines:  We recommend all students bring their own sewing machines to class so we can teach you on the machine that you will most often be using.  However, we do have a limited number of sewing machines available for rent at an additional $10 per student per class.  You must call the shop in advance at 702-522-9551 if you would like to rent a sewing machine. They will only be available on a first come first served basis.  At this time we do not have any sergers available for rent.

Tools / Materials:  Some classes may include tools and materials. Some classes may require the student to provide some tools and materials, if the student is to provide materials, it will be noted in the class listing.  Kits may be available for purchase for some classes.

 

Attendance Minimum:  A minimum of 2 students is required for a class.  If a class is cancelled because there is not enough enrollment, you will receive a refund of your payment for the class or it can be used towards another class.

Cancellations / Refunds / Exchanges:  All classes are non-refundable, however, if you cannot attend a class that you have signed up for, we will give you a credit, good for 90 days, to use towards another class.  No call-no show forfeits any refund or exchange.  If for any reason Pincushion must cancel a class, your class fee will be fully refunded.

Class / Workshop Etiquette:  Our classroom space will be open 15 minutes prior to the start of each class for students to arrive and get set up.  We encourage all students to arrive and be prepared to start at the designated time.  All classes start on time and begin wrapping up ten minutes prior to the scheduled end of class. Please be considerate of others and arrive on time for your class.
